BUSBUSI! SAFSAFRI! (song in Surinamese language)

The first part of the video plays a song in Sranan Tongo language. Sranan Tongo is the native language of my parents who come from Suriname. Sadly, I cannot speak this language. That’s why I mispronounce many words in this song which is so funny. The music video tells the story of a jaguar that lives in the wilderness of Suriname. The Surinamese title ‘A Tigri e Libi ini a Sranan Busbusi’ means in English: The Jaguar Lives in the Wilderness of Suriname.

In the second part of the video I talk about protecting jaguars in the Amazon rainforest. The documentary part shows real jaguars in a zoo in the Netherlands.
